  • Cotswolds – An AONB spanning the East of Gloucestershire with lots of hills and picturesque villages. The Cotswolds has many nice small towns and villages, often with houses made from Cotswold stone. The towns include Bourton-on-the-Water, Broadway, Burford, Chipping Norton, Dursley, Moreton-in-Marsh, Northleach, Stow-on-the-Wold, Stroud and Winchcombe.
  • Forest of Dean – An ancient woodland in the county’s west and is a fantastic place to visit. The area is especially interesting for walkers, cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts.
  • Tewkesbury – A town towards the north of the county whose centrepiece is an abbey.
  • Severn Vale – Also known as The Severn Valley, is the floodplain of the county and includes the villages along the river.
  • Coleford – A small market town which is a great base camp for exploring the Wye Valley.
